This Is How We Create Biodiversity

Since we began our coffee farm project, we’ve been deeply aware of the importance of caring for the natural environment connected to every decision we make. That’s why, through our philosophy, we aim to create ideal habitats where many species can thrive—and in doing so, help us improve the ecosystem sustainably.

BIODIVERSITY ON THE FARM AND ITS BENEFITS
By cultivating and caring for the vegetation, we provide space for numerous species that have lost their habitats due to deforestation and intensive agricultural expansion. On our farm, we find:
- Various species of birds that help us with natural pest control
- Wild pollinators, essential for flower and crop reproduction
- Fungi and microorganisms that enrich the soil and support the health of coffee plants
We also strongly believe that trees help us create a regulated microclimate thanks to the shade and moisture retention they provide. That’s why we plant native trees such as the carob tree.
THE IMPACT OF OUR AGRICULTURAL CHOICES
Unfortunately, when trees are removed, agrochemicals are overused, or crops are grown in full sun, much of the surrounding biodiversity is lost. At our organic farm, we’re committed to practices that support life:
We conserve native trees and plant species that benefit local wildlife
We maintain strips of natural vegetation
We use compost instead of synthetic fertilizers to feed soil life
We avoid pesticides that harm beneficial insects
We protect birds and key species that indicate ecosystem health

We work every day to ensure that, in the near future, our values and purpose are reflected in everything we do—raising awareness for nature and respect for the environment.
