What does "100% chemical-free" mean?

It means the coffee remains completely pure and clean throughout its entire cycle:

  • At the plant level: As a certified organic coffee, it is grown without pesticides, herbicides or synthetic chemical fertilisers
  • During the decaffeination process: The chemical solvents commonly used in the industry (such as methylene chloride or ethyl acetate) are not employed. Instead, caffeine is extracted exclusively using pure water through the Swiss Water method.

What are the tasting notes for this single-origin coffee?

It offers a very pleasant, clean and balanced cup, standing out as a sweet coffee with a distinct hint of nuts, while perfectly retaining the natural sugars of the Ethiopian bean.

How exactly does the "Swiss Water" method work?

It is a certified system that uses water, temperature control and active carbon filters to extract 99.9% of the caffeine through purely physical means. Since no chemical agents are involved, the components that give the coffee its sweet profile and hint of nuts remain locked inside the bean.

Where is this coffee roasted?

As detailed on the label, it is roasted in Mallorca at our facilities by our master roaster. It is produced in small batches, which ensures a controlled, fresh and locally sourced process.

What sizes and formats is this coffee available in?

This certified organic decaf coffee is available in 250g bags. You can choose the best option for your coffee maker directly when selecting the product:

  • Whole bean: Ideal if you prefer to grind it at home just before brewing to ensure maximum freshness
  • Ground: We offer 5 different specific grind sizes to ensure the perfect extraction depending on the type of coffee maker you use (Moka pot, filter, espresso, syphon/cona, Turkish coffee).

To ensure our artisan coffees never lose their quality, once roasted, we pack them in bags equipped with a one-way valve and a zip lock, preserving their full flavour and aroma. All our artisan coffees are suitable for all types of coffee makers.

Our coffee is roasted at our facilities in Palma de Mallorca, following rigorous quality standards. In fact, due to our artisanal roasting process, we only produce 30kg of coffee per batch.
